Annual trip Early price $3500

If you ever priced a trip to Africa you know that this is an outstanding price and your probably asking how can it be done? It can be done because we've been traveling to Kenya for 10 years; we know the best route, the best airfare and the best attractions in Kenya. You will get to see the real Kenya, traveling to Kenya with us will put you in contact with real villages, real people and real beauty.
We are not a travel agency but our goal is to get as many people as possible to Kenya. We believe that when you see the conditions that people are forced to live in you will become sympathic to our relief efforts. We hope that you will join us in the fight against substandard education but if you don't you still get the trip of a lifetime.

Why Kenya? Here's a short list: Magnificent wildlife such as lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, leopard, giraffe, and herds of zebra and gazelle in a spectacular natural setting. One of the world's most extensive national parks and preserves systems. Majestic landscape, from the snows of Mount Kilimanjaro to the great Rift Valley to open savanna and lush gardens brilliant with flowers. Tropical coastline with miles of white sandy beaches, waving palms, and coral reefs. Strong ethnic traditions among red-cloaked Masai herders, Kisii soapstone carvers, Akamba wood carvers, and the Arabic-influenced Swahili coastal villagers. Unique accommodations in sprawling highland ranches, relaxing coastal resorts, and historic hotels. And near-perfect vacation weather, warm, dry, and sunny.
On the other hand, travelers from industrialized nations might find some aspects of Kenya jarring. You may encounter Nairobi street children begging with hungry looks and a ready curse if their expectations are not met, old women carrying impossibly large loads of wood, bone-rattling potholes in highways and city streets, trucks and buses belching smoke and bursting with cargo, a bureaucracy that moves with the speed of a glacier, telephones that connect only after the tenth dialing, airports without working elevators or escalators, and public bathrooms you wish you had never entered.
Weathering it all is part of enjoying and truly experiencing a foreign place. It is challenging to look beyond the disturbingly unfamiliar to the real beauty and charm of Kenya and the Kenyan people.

Trip questions and Answers......

What shots do I need? There are a few shots you need; we recommend that around the 1st of the year everyone going on the trip visit a travel clinic. Every hospital has a travel clinic; they will administer the shots and give you a briefing on the area we’re visiting.

What should I bring? Bring all hot weather gear, shorts & T-shirts, don’t bring any dress clothes and whatever you do don’t bring any water. There is bottled water for sale everywhere in Kenya. Also if you like music bring a Walkman with speakers/ headphones & batteries.

How much money do I need? Well just make sure you bring enough to give M.R.I a donation ha-ha just kidding. It really depends on your personal spending habits; everything is prepaid so whatever you bring it's just spending money.

Do I bring cash or travelers checks? We suggest bringing half cash & half traveler’s checks. That way you can gauge how much you’re spending. You spend the cash first and then cash in the travelers checks. If you run out of cash at the halfway point of the trip your fine.
Can I use my credit card in Kenya? Yes.

How do I communicate with my family back home? The cheapest way for you to communicate with your family is e-mail.All hotels have e-mail. Phone calls are very expensive we will give you the phone number to the hotel before we leave but be careful; when your family calls the hotel it may be 10 minutes before they are connected to the room, we recommend e-mail.

How do I handle street/beach vendors? Don’t buy anything without consulting one of our core members. There are a lot of overpriced inferior products in Kenya, the vendors are very aggressive and will beg for you to do business with them. Don’t do anything until you talked to someone who has taken the trip in the past.
